...a new toy...

something...

...very sensitive but tolerant,

...very common but underwhelmed,

... like a polaroid camera but 10 times greater (at least the size is...)

...the fun will go on...

I had a little ride to the neighbourhood,
and again, I found something ...
It has been a lovely peacful day, and
living in the countryside is awesome!

Spontaneous

The Curious Object - III
Seeds never know where they are landing, but they always find their own ways to live. Sometimes, you just have to be spontaneous; follow your heart & go with the flow...

hello
It's spring time in Hong Kong!
I guess it's a good timing to get the blog rolling again ;p

the harmony and conflicts

The suburb I live is an interesting place. It is quite country where
you can see ponds, fields and lots of birdies, but at the same time you can also see abandoned cargo containers or machine parts nearby. It's a place of natures and pollutions while these two things somehow fit quite well together. I have always wanted to explore the surrounding and finally I did. Even though it was just a little tryout,
I was so inspired!

I paint

Ginkgo
I can't even remember the last time I picked up a paint brush... probably 3 or 4 years ago? I used to paint every week when I was in high school (as part of painting assignment of course), we stayed in the art room after school and painted until sunset, it was one of the best moments of the time.
I don't paint well but I feel happy when I paint (so do photography). This is what matters, right?

Darkroom

The Only Light Source

All the lights in my room died, and I am now technically working in drakroom (poor me). The little lamp becomes the very powerful
(and the only) light source in my room. Everything just glows and looks nicer when they are lit. I guess this darkroom is not totally a bad thing?

a real break

Undiscovered Island

I found this island while I was doing random cooking. It is the last bit of Chinese cabbage. I have seen and eaten so many of them, but I have never found an island before. Isn't it cute?
A piece of A4 sheet and a good spot with natural light give me a mini studio at home.

[Black & White] III

I'm not that fragile

I haven't shot with black and white films for ages... most of them were shot under very bad conditions (super dark, super windy and super heavy rain etc...) I am so pleased that most of the photos turned up okay. Eventhough they are not sharp, some of them are pretty blurry and grainy, but I reckon these 'natural special effects' do make the pictures more interesting.

this is life...

[last week] sorry... I missed a week. I had 2 weddings on last Saturday and Sunday. Why so many people get marry recently? It's the most exhausted weeknd I have ever had. 12 hours a day, full on working. I was physically broken...

[today] A random snap from neighbour's wall while I was doing my light reflection practice with sabi. Aim to be the Master of Reflection!!!

still struggling with the book...when am I going to get it right?

it's good to do silly things sometimes...

Well, I kind of feel bad of not doing any snaps this week and just post something I did before. Even though, I am not so sure how many people are actually checking my blog, (maybe none), I still feel like to post something more to reduce my guiltiness. Here are some of snaps I did today while having a walk with 'sunshine' walk

Contingent & Designed

I have been doing random snap shots recently, haven't done proper set up shots for awhile. Finally, I have the chance to do it. Here are some photos for my studio project. I was working on a food scrap recycling project. Great fun to play with the scraps :) The first picture is the same pok choy from last week, after veggie printing. I've never painted pok choy before, kind of tricky but still fun!

Tuesday (left), Friday (right)
I found a paper spoon and a paper knife on floor, so my instant reaction was to pick them up and left them on the shelf. I have no idea why I did that. Just feel like to... and I went to library again today, and I found the spoon was still there, but the knife was gone(so sad...). The spoon looked like has been tortured, what had happened?

A candid from work. They were watching the groom and bride, the light was so pretty!
